Roswell, N.M. – A 17-year-old riding an ATV died after being struck by an SUV in Roswell on Thursday night.
According to the Roswell Police Department, the accident happened around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of West McGaffey Street and South Union Avenue.
The 17-year-old and a 20-year-old man were riding on the ATV when it collided with a Ford Escape.
Both riders were taken to the hospital, where the 17-year-old later died.
The driver of the Ford Escape, a 42-year-old Roswell woman, was not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
