Byron, IL. – A Rockford woman was severely injured following a traffic collision on Friday afternoon in Byron, according to the Illinois State Police.
The accident happened a while before 2:19 p.m. on March 20, in the 10000 block of North Illinois Route 2.
Police said the Rockford woman was heading northbound when she lost control of her car and slammed into a tree on the east side of the road.
The Byron EMS responded to the scene and transported the woman to a Rockford hospital for treatment.
