Richland, WA. – A 56-year-old man is dead following a three-vehicle crash in Richland on Tuesday night.
The fatal collision happened around 6:10 p.m. on Interstate 182 near Queensgate Drive.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a Ford C-Max crashed into a car that had slowed for traffic. The impact caused the car to roll forward and hit another vehicle.
The driver of the C-Max, a 56-year-old Richland man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The third driver was injured but was treated at the scene.
Police closed the roadway for several hours to allow on-scene investigations.
Investigators said alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the incident.
The accident remains under investigation.
