Police said the woman was crossing the street near the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle.
Waukegan, IL. – A 36-year-old pregnant mother was killed after a hit-and-run accident on Sunday night in Waukegan, according to the Waukegan Police Department.
The accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on September 21, near Grand Avenue and Jackson Street.
Police said the woman was crossing the street near the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle.
The woman was rushed to Vista Medical Center East where she died from blunt force injuries.
The involved driver fled the scene after the crash.
An investigation by the Waukegan Police Major Crash Unit is ongoing.
