Portland, OR. – Two police officers were injured in a hit-and-run accident early Tuesday morning in Southeast Portland.
According to the authorities, the accident happened around 2:40 a.m. on January 13 near the intersection of Southeast 148th Avenue and Stark Street.
Authorities said the officers were responding to a call with their lights and sirens on when their police cruiser was struck by another vehicle.
The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.
Both officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, where they were treated and released.
The suspect vehicle was described as a dark-colored Chevy Suburban with front-end damage, including damage to the front bumper.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
