Phoenix, AZ – A Phoenix police sergeant was injured Wednesday afternoon in a car accident, east of downtown Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on July 30 near Jefferson Street and Interstate 10.
Police said a vehicle crashed into the sergeant.
The sergeant was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver who crashed into the sergeant stayed at the scene after the accident.
No other details were released.
The police are investigating the accident.
