Pima County, AZ. – A woman was killed in a bicycle accident on Saturday evening in Pima County, according to the deputies.
The fatal accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of North Davis Avenue and Chester Way.
The 59-year-old woman was riding her bicycle when she was rear-ended by a vehicle at the intersection.
The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she later died.
The driver was issued a citation for causing death or serious injury by moving violation and failure to yield at a stop sign.
Impairment and speed were not a factor on the driver’s part.
