The trooper was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Pierce County, WA. – A WSP trooper was injured in a Sunday morning pedestrian accident in Pierce County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened on December 21 on State Route 512 near Canyon Road.
WSP said the trooper was attempting to help remove a disabled vehicle that was blocking westbound SR 512 when he was struck by a vehicle.
The trooper was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other information was available.
The WSP is investigating the accident.
