The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene
Pierce County, WA. – A 41-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian accident early Tuesday evening in Pierce County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The fatal accident occurred at about 5:18 p.m. on SR-162 in the South Prairie area.
The 41-year-old Covington woman was walking eastbound when her car was struck by a car travelling in the same direction. The vehicle finally came to rest on its right shoulder.
The pedestrian succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The driver was uninjured.
