Phoenix, AZ. – Four women were injured late Wednesday evening in a car collision in Phoenix, authorities said.

The accident happened at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of 7th Street and McDowell Road.

According to investigators, the accident involved at least two vehicles, including a white SUV and a dark colored SUV. However, the manner of the crash remained unclear at the time of reporting.

Three women were rushed to the hospital for treatment, with two in critical condition and one in stable condition. Emergency responders also attended to a fourth woman but declined to be transported to the hospital.

Authorities said the white SUV sustained extensive front-end damage while the dark SUV was t-boned on the driver’s side.

The intersection was closed until 2:30 a.m. for on-scene investigations.
