Phoenix, AZ. – A man in a motor wheelchair died in a pedestrian accident on Sunday night in west Phoenix, according to the police.
The fatal accident happened around 9:38 p.m. at the intersection of 60th Lane and McDowell Road.
Police said the man was in a wheelchair and was crossing northbound when he was struck by a vehicle
The man was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the driver was not impaired at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
