Phoenix, AZ. – One person was killed and another was critically injured in a car crash early Tuesday afternoon in Phoenix.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), the fatal collision happened around 1:15 p.m. on Interstate 17, just south of Jomax Road.
Two vehicles collided on the freeway in unclear circumstances. A white Jeep Wrangler crashed through a fence and overturned after the collision.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
One other person was critically injured and was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
