Deputies said two vehicles were involved in the accident.
Whiteside County, IL. – One individual was killed and two others hurt after a traffic collision on Thursday afternoon in Whiteside County, according to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at around 9:21 p.m. on January 15, on Illinois Route 84 near Spring Valley Road.
Deputies said two vehicles were involved in the accident.
Three people were extricated by fire officials and rushed to a hospital in Clinton Iowa. One of them, a driver, succumbed to their injuries.
The two others sustained severe non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies closed Illinois Route 84 for around five hours for a clearing operation.
An investigation is ongoing.
