Anthem, AZ – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on 17 Freeway in Anthem on Friday morning.
The deadly accident happened at about 9 a.m. September 5 on Interstate 17 at milepost 228 near Daisy Mountain Drive.
According to police, the collision involved at least four vehicles, including a truck pulling a trailer.
The manner of the crash was not immediately clear.
One person was seriously hurt and rushed to a hospital. However, the patient succumbed to the injuries a short time later.
The northbound lanes at Daisy Mountain Drive were shut until 11:30 a.m. to allow on-scene investigations.
