Pendleton, IN. – Three people, including a couple, were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Pendleton.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 3:43 p.m. on South State Road 67.

A black 2022 Nissan Titan driven by a 62-year-old man was northbound on State Road 67 when he crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

The Nissan driver and the 64-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 41-year-old driver of the Jeep was taken to Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Hospital, where he later died.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
