Police said a Chevrolet SUV operated by a 70-year-old man was heading west when it struck a female pedestrian.

Chicago, IL. – The Chicago Police Department is investigating a pedestrian accident that killed a female pedestrian on Tuesday night on Chicago’s Northwest Side.
The accident occurred at around 6:15 p.m. on March 3 in the 4000 block of West Foster Avenue.
Police said a Chevrolet SUV operated by a 70-year-old man was heading west when it struck a female pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to St. Francis Hospital where she died.
No additional information regarding the crash was released.
An investigation is underway.
