Indianapolis, IN. – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident on the northwest side of Indianapolis on Sunday morning, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on southbound Interstate 465 at mile marker 17.9. at around 3:30 a.m. August 3.
Authorities said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while they were crossing I-465. They were rushed to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Three right lanes of I-465 were blocked due to the collision.
