Winthrop Harbor, IL. – One person was killed after a pedestrian accident on Friday morning in Winthrop Harbor, according to the Winthrop Harbor Police Department.
The accident occurred a while after 11:00 p.m. on February 27 in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road.
Police said a person was hit by a northbound vehicle in unclear circumstances. The driver fled the scene following the crash.
The individual was rushed to the hospital where they died.
