Cocoa Village, FL. – A 25-year-old woman was killed after a pedestrian accident on Friday afternoon in Cocoa Village, according to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident occurred at around 12:55 p.m. on January 1st in the 300 block of Brevard Avenue.

Deputies said a 2016 white Dodge Ram 1500 clipped the sidewalk, hit a woman and an adult male, before veering into a building.

Bystanders administered CPR on the woman before medics arrived

The woman was rushed to an area hospital where she was declared dead.

The man declined medical assistance at the scene.

The 65-year-old male driver was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Authorities believed the driver suffered an unknown medical episode causing him to lose control of the car.

Officials said the building did not sustain structural damage due to the collision.

Brevard Avenue was closed between State Road 520 and Harrison Street.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes and expect delays in the area.
