Pasco County, FL. – One person was killed in a Monday morning car accident in Pasco County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 6:08 a.m. on US-98, just north of County Road 54.
A 24-year-old Davenport man was driving a Kia K5 northbound on US-98 when he allowed the vehicle to drift into the southbound lane and collided with a Dodge Caliber driven by a 47-year-old man from Spring Hill.
A 26-year-old Spring Hill man was driving a Toyota Corolla behind the Dodge and rear-ended it.
The driver of the Dodge was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Kia suffered serious injuries in the accident.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
