Troopers said a woman was driving north on SR-434 or Alafaya Trail when she went off the roadway and into a retention pond.

Seminole County, FL. – A 25-year-old woman from Oviedo was killed after vehicle slammed into a retention pond on Monday night in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 10:45 p.m. on September 8, on State Road 434 near Lake Hayes Road.
Troopers said a woman was driving north on SR-434 or Alafaya Trail when she went off the roadway and into a retention pond.
The woman was rushed to Oviedo Medical Center where she was declared dead.
No other details regarding this collision were provided.
The incident remains under investigation.
