Las Vegas, NV. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at Stewart Avenue and Mojave Road.
A white Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on Stewart Avenue when it struck a pedestrian at the intersection.
The pedestrian died at the scene.
The car failed to stop and sped off eastbound on Stewart. The vehicle was later found abandoned, and the suspect was yet to be located.
The intersection was closed for several hours after the crash.
