Palm Beach County, FL – A woman was killed Wednesday morning in a semi-truck accident in Palm Beach County, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).
The fatal accident occurred on May 21, on U.S. Highway 27 near Mutt Thomas Road.
PBSO said Natalie Leavy was driving a 2022 Nissan northbound in the outside lane of the highway while a Kenworth semi-truck was traveling southbound in the inside lane.
Leavy lost control of her car, spun northeast across the median, and entered into the path of the semi-truck, causing the two vehicles to collide.
The Nissan rotated and overturned before it came to a rest on its driver’s side after the collision while the semi-truck rotated and slid across the center median, before coming to rest facing northeast across the northbound lanes.
Leavy was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.
