Authorities said a motorcyclist was killed following a hit and run accident involving a car Tuesday morning on State Route 525 near Beverly Park Road in Mukilteo.
Mukilteo, WA.- A motorcyclist was killed following an accident involving a car Tuesday morning near Mukilteo.
The accident occurred around 7 a.m. on August 11 on southbound State Route 525 at Beverly Park Road.
Authorities said the collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The accident was being investigated as a hit and run.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and one person died as a result of the collision.
All southbound lanes of State Route 525 were blocked while authorities investigated the accident and examined the roadway.
The highway remained closed as investigators continued working at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of the motorcyclist who was killed.
Additional information about the driver involved in the hit and run has also not been released.
The accident remains under investigation.
