Tucson, AZ. – A rider was severely injured after a single-motorcycle crash on Thursday in rural Pima County, according to the Santa Rita Fire District.

The accident occurred in the 6200 block of West Arivaca Road on May 28.

Officials said the rider crashed in unclear circumstances. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time.

The rider was transported to the hospital with critical life-threatening injuries. He was listed in a critical but stable condition.
