Police said the Lexus driver, 31-year-old Rosalba Ramirez-Fraga was heading northbound on North Frontage Road when she hit the rear of a gray Toyota. She then drove into the westbound lanes of East Dundee Road while driving eastbound and crashed head-on into the Nissan.

Palatine, IL. – A 23-year-old mother, 7-year-old son and 1-year-old son were hospitalized with severe injuries after a DUI head-on collision last week Friday in Palatine.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred a while after 10:00 p.m. near East Dundee Road and North Kennedy Drive.
Police said the Lexus driver, 31-year-old Rosalba Ramirez-Fraga was heading northbound on North Frontage Road when she hit the rear of a gray Toyota. She then drove into the westbound lanes of East Dundee Road while driving eastbound and crashed head-on into the Nissan.
The woman and her two kids were riding in the Nissan. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment of severe non-life-threatening injuries.
Ramirez-Fraga showed signs of impairment and police recovered several open alcohol containers from her vehicles. She even admitted to drinking before the collision.
Ramirez-Fraga was arrested and charged with multiple charges including two felony DUI counts.
She appeared in court on Wednesday and her next appearance is on August 8 9:00 a.m. on Rolling Meadows.
