Mesa, AZ. – A Mesa police officer was injured after a traffic collision on Monday night in the East Valley.
According to the Mesa Police Department, the accident happened on June 8, on Loop 202 (Santan Freeway).
Two vehicles including the officer’s vehicle collided in unclear circumstances.
The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The officer is expected to survive.
Mesa Police said they did not suspect impairment to have played a role.
The other driver was not hurt and was cited.
