McKinley County, N.M. – At least one person was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck on Sunday near Gallup in McKinley County.
According to the McKinley County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on Interstate 40 at mile marker 38.5.
A semi-truck operated by a suspected drunk driver was driving on the wrong side when it collided with another semi-truck.
Another crash occurred due to the debris in the roadway from the initial collision.
One person was killed in the accident.
Police believe drugs were a factor in the crash.
