The Wonder Lake man was hit by an eastbound 2016 GMC Acadia driven by a 34-year-old woman
McHenry County, IL. – A 65-year-old man died after being struck by a car on Thursday evening in McHenry County.
According to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 6 p.m. in the 7300 block of Barnard Miller Road.
The 65-year-old Wonder Lake man was hit by an eastbound 2016 GMC Acadia driven by a 34-year-old woman.
The man was found unresponsive in a ditch and was taken to Northwestern Medicine Hospital, McHenry.
He was later transferred to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he died while receiving treatment.
The woman was uninjured and remained at the scene.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
