Authorities said Mayberry was riding his motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, he hit a light pole for unknown reasons.

Champaign, IL. – 37-year-old Matthew Mayberry was killed after a motorcycle accident on Saturday night in Champaign, according to the Champaign County Coroner.
The accident happened at about 7:30 p.m. on August 16, at Bloomington Road and Mattis Avenue.
Authorities said Mayberry was riding his motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, he hit a light pole for unknown reasons.
Mayberry sustained multiple life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared dead.
Police requested any residents or businesses in the location with exterior surveillance cameras to call authorities and arrangements to be made for those who wish to share the information privately.
An investigation is underway.
