The driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries
Lincoln County, OR. – One person died in a car accident that occurred in Lincoln County on Friday, February 28.
According to Oregon State Police, the accident happened around 5:22 p.m. on Highway 18 near milepost 9.
Mark Joseph Sutherland was driving a Dodge Ram 150 westbound when he drifted into the westbound lane and collided with a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 27-year-old woman from Poplarville, Mississippi.
A Chevrolet Suburban driven by a 34-year-old Willamina man was also involved in the accident.
Sutherland was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
