A southbound van operated by a Portland man rear-ended a southbound SUV driven by an Aurora man

Marion County, OR. – One person was killed, and several others were injured after three vehicles collided on Friday afternoon, according to the Oregon State Police.
The crash occurred on Highway 551 near milepost 3 at about 4:35 p.m. on Friday, November 28.
A southbound van operated by a Portland man rear-ended a southbound SUV driven by an Aurora man.
The impact pushed the SUV into the northbound lane, where it was struck on the passenger side by a northbound minivan operated by a Happy Valley man.
The Portland man driving the van was transported to an area hospital.
The Happy Valley man and two passengers in the minivan, a woman and a male juvenile, were also taken to a hospital with reported minor injuries.
The Aurora man driving the SUV and a male juvenile passenger suffered minor injuries and were hospitalized. Another passenger in the SUV, an Aurora woman, was transported to a hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
No arrests were reported.
More details about the accident were not released.
