Authorities confirmed a vehicle, and a motorcycle crashed for unknown reasons. A small fire on the motorcycle was reported after the collision but the responding engine company personnel put it off.

Broward County, FL. – A man lost his leg and part of his arm while a second individual sustained injuries following a major motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon in Broward County, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened a while before 4:30 p.m. on June 29, on U.S. 27 near Griffin Road.
Authorities confirmed a vehicle, and a motorcycle crashed for unknown reasons. A small fire on the motorcycle was reported after the collision but the responding engine company personnel put it off.
Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue responded to the crash to attend to two people injured in the crash. One man sustained severe injuries including a partially amputated arm and a traumatic leg amputation. The second patient sustained a shoulder injury.
The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Air Rescue team airlifted the man to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The second person was transported to the same hospital in an ambulance.
The incident remains under investigation.
