Deputies said a Honda sedan was heading westbound when it swerved into the oncoming traffic and collided with an eastbound GMC work truck head-on.

Ingleside, IL. – A man was killed after a head-on collision early Wednesday in Inglewood, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s office.
The accident happened a while before 5:00 a.m. on September 3, on Route 134, east of North Catherine Street near South Middle School.
Deputies said a Honda sedan was heading westbound when it swerved into the oncoming traffic and collided with an eastbound GMC work truck head-on.
The Honda’s driver was declared dead at the crash site.
Authorities found an open bottle of whiskey on his lap and the Honda had been reported stolen from a gym in Fox Lake on Tuesday.
The truck’s driver, identified only as a 44-year-old Johnsburg man, was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He cooperated with investigators.
The collision blocked the entrances to South Middle School at 25775 W Highway 134, and classes started three hours late.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Lake County Coroner’s Office
An investigation by the sheriff’s Technical Crash Investigations Team is ongoing.
