Phoenix, AZ – A man in his 40s was hit and killed by a vehicle near a Phoenix intersection Friday night, according to Phoenix police.

The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on June 13 near 18th Avenue and Indian School Road.

 Officers responded to the scene and found a man suffering from serious injuries. Firefighters transported the man to the hospital where he later died. The victim’s name has not been released.

Investigators say the victim may have been crossing Indian School Road outside a crosswalk when he was hit by a car. The man was struck by other cars after the initial collision. The motorist did not stop.
