Police said the man had just alighted from the bus, tripped on the curb and fell under the back tires of the Citi-Link bus.
Fort Wayne, IN. – A man was run over by a bus shortly after alighting on Thursday morning in Fort Wayne, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. July 24 near Illinois Road and Hillegas Road.
Police said the man had just alighted from the bus, tripped on the curb and fell under the back tires of the Citi-Link bus. The bus then ran over him.
Witnesses are asked by police to provide a statement concerning the crash.
An investigation is underway.
