Man, 36, Dies in Grant County Accident on State Route 281

Grant County, WA – A 36-year-old man from Quincy is dead following a rear-end collision on State Route 281 in Grant County early Saturday morning.

The two-vehicle accident was reported at about 3:15 a.m. on June 7 on State Route 281 near milepost 9, just north of Quincy.

According to WSP, the Quincy man was driving a silver 2007 Toyota Camry northbound at a high rate of speed when crashed into the rear of a 2023 semi-truck trailer that was driving slowly also heading north.

The Quincy man was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name was not immediately released.

The semi-truck driver, identified as nRandey D. Boen, 58, of Quincy, was not hurt.

The incident remains under investigation and no additional information was provided.
