Police said they were investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened earlier on scene, when a black Kia SUV drove through the road closure and crashed into a parked Road Ranger truck helping with traffic control.

Man Dies After Car Accident on Turnpike at Coral Reef Drive

Miami-Dade, FL. – A male driver was killed following a two-vehicle accident early Friday morning in Miami-Dade, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident happened on the Turnpike at Coral Reef Drive also known as Southwest 152nd Street a while after 1:25 a.m. June 27.

Police said they were investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened earlier on scene, when a black Kia SUV drove through the road closure and crashed into a parked Road Ranger truck helping with traffic control.

The driver of the SUV, identified only as a man, was killed in the collision.

There was no one in the truck at the time of the accident and none of the officials working at the scene were injured.

All lanes were blocked for hours following the collision.

No other details concerning this crash were released.

An investigation is underway.
