Madison County, IN. – Two people were injured in a car crash on Tuesday afternoon in Madison County.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on State Road 38 at County Road 400 East at around 2 p.m.

An SUV was traveling southbound on CR 400 East when it failed to stop at SR 38 and collided with a car.

The driver of the car was trapped and was extricated before being taken to hospital.

The SUV driver fled the scene and was located and taken to the hospital. The driver faces possible felony charges.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
