The Honda driver was trapped and had to be extricated
Lordsburg, N.M. – One person died after a car crash on Friday afternoon in Lordsburg.
According to the authorities, the accident happened on Interstate 10 near mile marker 46.
A westbound 2023 Honda Accord drifted across the centerline into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2025 Peterbilt semi-trailer.
The crash caused the semi-trailer to overturn.
The Honda driver was trapped and had to be extricated. The unidentified driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The driver of the semi was unhurt.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol as a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
