Linn County, OR. – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving two motorcycles at an intersection in Linn County on Saturday morning.
The fatal collision occurred around 11:40 a.m. October 18, on I-5 near milepost 234.
According to the Oregon State Police, a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle was slowing down for traffic when it lost control and lay in the lane of travel.
The motorcycle was struck by another northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle that was unable to avoid the collision in time.
The operator of the first motorcycle was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The operator of the other motorcycle was uninjured.
The accident remains under investigation.
