Linn County, OR – One person died in a two-vehicle collision that left five other people on Thursday afternoon in Linn County, according to the police.
The fatal collision occurred around 4:20 p.m. on October 30, on Highway 20 near milepost 4.
A 47-year-old Sweet Home man was driving a Ford F150 and flatbed trailer eastbound on the highway when he entered the westbound lane and crashed into a westbound Toyota 4Runner driven by a 73-year-old from Mill City.
The Toyota driver died at the scene.
Four passengers in the Toyota, a 27-year-old from Albany, a 7-year-old boy, a 4-year-old boy, and a 1-year-old girl, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Ford driver was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident closed the highway for several hours.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
