Linda Hargrove Identified as Woman Killed in Crash at State Road 234 in Wilkinson

Authorities said Alexander Ray of Hancock County, was driving a client’s 2024 Ford Mustang Super Snake west on State Road 234 when he crashed into Hargrove’s vehicle. The violent collision broke Hargrove’s vehicle into two pieces.

Linda Hargrove Sustains Fatal Injuries After DUI Crash at State Road 234 and County Road 675 East

Hancock County, IN. – 76-year-old Linda Hargrove has been identified as the person killed in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday night near Wilkinson in Hancock County.

According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. July 26 at the intersection of State Road 234 and County Road 675 East.

Authorities said Alexander Ray of Hancock County, was driving a client’s 2024 Ford Mustang Super Snake west on State Road 234 when he crashed into Hargrove’s vehicle. The violent collision broke Hargrove’s vehicle into two pieces. One piece came to rest in a front yard near the road and the other in a cornfield around 100 yards from the junction.

Car debris was scattered all over the yard almost a week after the crash.

Hargrove died in the collision.

Ray and his passenger were not severely hurt in the collision.

Ray was arrested for DUI and made his initial court appearance on August 1, 2025. The judge set his bond at $100,000 cash. His second hearing is scheduled for August 20, 2025.
