West Loop, IL. – 24-year-old Lilia Perez of Chicago has been identified as the woman killed after a vehicle collision on Sunday morning in the West Loop, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on September 7 in the 1100 block of West Congress Parkway, along the south frontage of the Eisenhower Expressway near the University of Illinois Chicago campus.
Police said Perez was driving a vehicle in the area, when for unknown reasons, she struck the median.
The Chicago woman was transported to Stroger Hospital in Cook County where she was declared dead.
No additional information regarding this collision was provided.
An investigation by the Major Accident Investigation Unit is underway.
