Police said two 25 year old men suffered critical injuries after a Tesla crashed and caught fire early Monday morning near Highland Drive and Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas, NV.- Two people were critically injured following a Tesla accident Monday morning in Las Vegas.
The accident occurred around 2:26 a.m. on August 10 near South Highland Drive and West Desert Inn Road, close to Interstate 15.
Investigators said a 2022 Tesla Model 3 was traveling at a high rate of speed when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway.
The Tesla struck a curb and then collided with a building before catching fire.
Emergency responders rescued both 25 year old occupants from the burning vehicle.
Both men were transported to Sunrise Hospital with significant injuries. Medical personnel later determined that their injuries were life threatening.
Authorities said the driver remained in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation.
