Las Vegas, NV. – A juvenile died and another was injured after being struck by a vehicle as they rode a scooter in Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened near Walnut Road and Owens Avenue at around 2:50 p.m.
The minors were riding a scooter in the area when they were hit by a car.
A 10-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 9-year-old was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
