According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred around 10:54 p.m. on Mel Torme Way near Spring Mountain Road and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The two pedestrians were crossing a street when the Toyota Camry failed to stop at a red light and struck them.
The two sustained life-threatening injuries were taken to the University Medical Center for treatment.
Police arrested the driver for reckless driving.
