Las Vegas, NV. – A 17-year-old boy died after being struck by a motor-home on Saturday evening in Las Vegas.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred at around 6 p.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard near Nellis Boulevard.

A motorhome reportedly failed to yield the right of way and struck the boy walking in a marked crosswalk.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver showed signs of impairment after being apprehended.

The driver was charged with DUI and also faces charges of hit-and-run.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
