According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Fremont Street and Oakey Boulevard at around 11:10 p.m.
A man in the wheelchair was crossing the street when he was struck by a 2013 Kia Optima traveling northbound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kia driver stopped the car and called 911. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
