Las Vegas, NV. – A 48-year-old off-duty firefighter was killed in a car crash on Wednesday evening in Las Vegas.
According to local police, the crash happened on US Highway near mile marker 28 at around 6:39 p.m.
A blue Freightliner commercial vehicle was travelling eastbound on US 50 when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and drifted into the westbound lane before leaving the roadway where it struck a road sign and overturned.
The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
